So many things have happened the past few weeks that it’s definitely time for an update.

For the title track Ask Me This we have a new video made by our favourite director Guy Manly aka. our good friend Matthew Thompson.

The main character in this video is a former Broadway dancer and she does an amazing and heart wrenching job in this vid.

Magnus is the former band leader of Danish jazz band Magnus fra Gaarden and he is doing an absolutely tremendous job for us. THANK YOU!

In Chur, Switzerland we met this girl who had drawn a picture of us on her arm during our concert.

The good people from the über cool venue Fri-Son in Fribourg made a Swiss speciality before we left; CHEESE FONDUE WITH KIRSCH LIKOR. Good stuff…

Kristine bought a new ukulele and Sune caught her with his camera in a very sincere moment :)

On March 27th we release our new album ASK ME THIS in Canada through 45 Records and in The States through Old Flame Records. In connection with the release we go on a major tour through most of North America!!

We have loads of good news!

The album is out on Feb. 24th in Europe and Asia and on March 27th in the US and Canada.

Even though we’ve been awefully quiet the past month or so, it’s definitely not because of inactivity.

Our 5 weeks tour around Denmark is over and it was an amazing experience for us to make it to every corner of our beautiful little country. We visited small towns that we’ve never been to before and it was an absolute pleasure. So many dedicated and friendly people at the venues and in the crowds. THANK YOU SO MUCH Denmark for enjoying our first DK-tour with us.

When we played in Odense, Danish magazine Gaffa stopped by and wrote this five stars review of our show (in Danish).

So now we’re back in Copenhagen and work on getting ready for 2012. We have plenty of plans for the new year and we hope to be able to present some of them very soon.

But as a starter we would like to ask for a little help. After touring for five weeks we’re almost sold out of T-shirts. Hence we need new ones and therefor we’re organizing a T-shirt competition with desirable and attractive prizes (ta-dah!).

WHAT TO DO:

1. Design an extremely cool T-shirt that you think could represent Alcoholic Faith Mission.

2. Send us your suggestion(s) to t-shirt(a)alcoholicfaithmission.com before Friday December 23rd at noon.

3. The winner will be announced on January 1st and will have his/hers design printed on our new merchandise that will travel with us around the World. Also a goodiebag filled with good things will be send the winner’s way.

The day has finally come where we get to share our new songs with you live.

We kick off the Danish tour on Thursday Sept. 29th in Slagelse.
Our good friends from Deer Bear will join us on this tour and we can’t wait to get started.

We’ll also celebrate the release on Oct. 6th at LYST in Jægersborggade, Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

In Copenhagen it has been raining non-stop the past four days and as for the summer tour we have only two festivals left:

August 19th: Alive Festival – Thy (DK)
September 10th: Stairway Festival – Vanløse (DK)

In spite of the lack of summer sun this summer has been ever so memorable to AFM. We’ve gone to some of the coolest festivals and played some of our best and most amazing concerts.

Luckily our ever so talented Sune has made sure to take pictures of some of the beautiful people that we’ve met and played before during the summer. Here’s a small selection from the Alcoholic Faith Mission summer:

At Siesta! Festival (Hässleholm, SE) we were thrilled by the ambitious and dedicated cheering, dancing and head banging from the audience despite a sweltering heat. Amazing job guys, thank you!

Peace & Love Festivalen (Borlänge, SE) is the biggest festival in Sweden. And indeed it was big!! And indeed we felt the love… If it hadn’t been for next day’s gig at Roskilde it would definitely had been a good place to stay for more beers, music and love.

As a Danish band the maiden gig at Roskilde Festival (Roskilde, DK) is always something special! We enjoyed every bit of it and was overwhelmed by all the people showing up to our concert and afterwards the good responses we received.

Definitely a high light in the band history. The concert was recorded and you can listen to it here.

First concert for AFM in Latvia was at Positivus Festival (Salacgriva, LV), where we were immensely surprised to find that people knew our songs! Friendly people everywhere og the beers were cheap FTW.
